After the coming of the Lord, there will be a time unparalleled in human history. The book of Isaiah captures this time beautifully :
“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
The Lord himself will govern here on earth for a thousand years. A time where justice is practiced and righteousness among people is both restored and enforced. Not all people like the idea of justice being enforced because their actions dictate punishment. In Proverbs 20:26 it reads, “A wise king winnows out the wicked; he drives the threshing wheel over them.” In Proverbs 21:15 it says, “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” When people try to put what is labeled “the end times”in the here and now, they leave out the millennial reign. What they may mean is the end of this era, but this time is something that will take place on the current earth and last for a thousand years.
The millennial Reign will be a time of great growth and prosperity. People will be able to lay down at night with the assurance of protection and justice. Premature death will be gone and the anthrocide of abortion and euthanasia will serve as cautionary tales from the past about the evil that resided in the people of this age. Population growth, after the enormous loss of life from the time of the “great culling” of the COVID vaccination campaign and the response from heaven during the time of the trumpets, will reemerge and will be abundant and the population, without human interference, will explode.
For the people who may be reading this in the distant future, the people of this age believe the world has too many people. That will seem laughable to the people alive near the end of the thousand years . The people who believe this invariably live in congested cities stacked like pancakes one on another. When you get out of those places, however, you find that there is ample space for an abundance of people. At the time of this writing, there is said to be about eight billion people on the planet. About sixty years ago when I was a child, there was said to be about three billion people.
To give that some perspective, that many people would all be able to fit into the State of Texas with about 100 square meters of space around them. The complaint at the end of the millennial reign will sound a lot like what is being asserted now. People will want more space and like now will begin to complain that there is tyranny when justice is applied and when the devil is released at the end of the the thousand years, he will bring this rebellion in the hearts of people to light. The deception he plans to use is a simple one: He will claim to be the “goat”. (For those who may not know, by my research, the goat character of the Bible is the dual personage of the Elijah/Michael character, sent by the Lord to “restore all things” as he tells the three disciples after the Mount of Transfiguration. The seals in the book of Revelation are about his life, times and ministry told symbolically. See the sun/ goat series I wrote upon earlier for more details). That’s why the statues of him depict that symbol. He is not, of course, but he will claim that title nonetheless and accuse the Lord of being a tyrant and deceive the masses, in spite of the greatness of that age. That leads to the destruction of the current heavens and earth to be replaced by the new heavens and earth spoken of in Revelation 21.
