This past week I saw a clip of Elon Musk at the World Economic Forum refer to humanity as lone candle of consciousness in the universe . In terms of biological life, I have believed this for a long time based more on my study of biology than scripture . The most exclusionary statement that I can find in scripture is in Isaiah 45:18 where God says, “For this is what the LORD says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited —“
The way it’s stated implies both the physical aspect on earth, but also the metaphysical reality of the spiritual realm. By stating that the earth was formed specifically to be inhabited would appear to preclude other biological life beyond earth. The complexity of the cell and the understanding of the implications of DNA to me makes random generation an impossibility.
At the time of this writing, there are significant events taking place in various parts of the world. In the United States, we appear to have a situation where a decades regimen of fraud has taken place that has cost taxpayers in this country billions of dollars while offering no services by an immigrant community that has funneled that money to terrorist organizations. The response by the federal government to deport those here illegally and to investigate the massive amount of fraud that has occurred is certainly appropriate. While not my focus it does seem to raise the question of why government is funding daycares in the first place.
As this enforcement action is taking place, you have government officials telling people to bring arms to defend the people who have been defrauding them, many of whom have horrendous criminal histories here and in their country of origin. Why? Probably to distract from their involvement, but to tell people to take up arms against those who are enforcing the law is an incredibly selfish and treacherous act. If you wonder why I think governments here and abroad should be sharply curtailed, it’s because of things like this. Not because of the current action, but all of the corruption that led up to it’s necessity It’s hard to believe that anyone would do this for them.
In Iran, you have a government that it’s people doesn’t want and that they can’t get rid of through elections. The Islamic regime has killed what has been reported in the tens of thousands of its own citizens. What kind of hubris it must take to believe so firmly that you have a right to rule that the desires of your countrymen don’t matter and that your willing to kill as many as necessary to hold on to power? There is no such thing among humans as having a right to rule. If you are in any public sector role anywhere and your objective is anything other than serving the needs of your own countrymen, then you are an illegitimate force, one to be removed.
In my last writing I mentioned that the reason sovereign nations need to exist is to hold other nations accountable when they go rogue. This is certainly an example where this needs to happen. Where is the United Nations? Where is the press? We get only individual accounts from people connected to those in that country.
If only each one of us could for a moment realize just how precious and rare each one of us is. That we can inhabit this beautiful globe at the same time. To be able to appreciate where we are in the universe, being both precious and insignificant at the same time. I feel not just for those who are being oppressed, but for those doing, well, all the evil they think they can get away with. They are in governments all over the world and they are in the streets. They are self deceived to think that justice will not come for them. Thus the necessity of the coming of Christ. But what matters remain?
