The medical field has done many amazing things since its inception, but it took a dark turn in the twentieth century. Beginning with eugenics, it came to adopt the killing of children via abortion and after a contentious battle over vaccines, transgenderism is the money maker of the day. At the very least one’s genetic lineage has been forever severed. But the spiritual consequences that I see in the Bible tells a harrowing tale as I read it for those who try to cling to the truth with one hand while denying it with the other.

In the book of Deuteronomy 22:5 it says “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.” And that just dressing as the opposite sex. Another way of saying it would be that one is dressing to appear as the opposite sex. A Scottish man wearing a kilt is not try to make you think he is a women and a business woman in a paint suit isn’t doing so to appear as man. The deceptive act of cross dressing and its acceptance has led now to a medical procedure to alter one’s physical appearance to deceive, oneself mostly, but anyone who might want to be close to them, that they are the opposite sex from how they were created.

I think where the the problem comes in for those who have done this to themselves comes in Revelation 20:12-14, “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Imagine hearing from God that you’re not in the book of life. Why? Because you were created one sex, but appear as the other. There is a lot of theology in Revelation 20 through 22 that the church seems to miss and this is a big one. It’s not loving to allow someone to think they are one thing when they are another. You can’t say you want to hold onto the truth of Jesus Christ while denying the truth in your own biology. They won’t work together. And church leaders need to make that clear in as gracious a way as possible. Anything that might alter our DNA may pose the same risks.

Those who might be tempted to follow the path of transgenderism must understand one thing with absolute clarity, your biological heritage is now dead and you risk the lake of fire, a punishment so terrible that it destroys both death and hell. And any out there who think they know something about hell, hell is to the lake of fire what a sauna is to a smelting furnace.

For those who instruct, tempt, persuade or participate in any way to convince someone to do something like this to themselves, Jesus says in Matthew 18:6&7, ““If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!”

I appeal to any involved in such things to disavow them and turn a way from such practices. Repent and appeal to Lord while you still can. At the same time, those who think that their faith will save them while they are doing such things most likely are kidding themselves.
