Through the last two series connecting symbols through the Bible to gain prophetic insight, we have been able to see institutions and individuals prophesied very specifically outside of a biblical timeframe. It has allowed us to prophetically see the failure and the symbols attached to Catholicism, the subsequent Reformation and individuals such as Muhammad and Pastor Martin Luther. All of these events happening well after the last book of the Bible was written. This certainly implies a wisdom that transcends time, the light of eternal mind.
I also gave a very different assessment of what the book of Revelation means than what the church has generally taught. If we look, for instance, at the symbolism of the Exodus as an example it gives a broader picture than what is typically understood. If we think of Jesus as our Passover lamb, which is biblical, and the crossing of the Red Sea as the first resurrection and Rapture, the time in the desert when the bread from heaven was on earth as the millennial reign of Christ and the crossing of the Jordan as the second resurrection, judgement and the beginning of the new heavens and earth, what that tells us is that we are very early in our existence, still. We haven’t even reached our Red Sea moment, yet. That leaves a lot of prophecy left in the pages of the Bible. Another thing that we can understand is that Revelation 20 can be looked at as a summary of that Exodus, a future that can be looked forward to. If we then remove the boundary of time, you then get a picture of the kingdom of heaven as prophesied in the rest of the Bible, an eternal document. This could certainly have meaning as it relates to the 12 tribes being sealed in Revelation 7, as there is no means of identifying people of those tribes at present. It could also speak to the book of life that is referred to in Revelation 20. Our God is mighty to save!
The next series will start after a short break and will be titled “Law, justice, governance and the millennial reign.” It will look at what justice demands and how law is meant to work in support of those demands, the role of government and a biblical look at the millennial reign and how those concepts may be employed. Blessings to all this Christmas season.
